On October 27, 2025, Blaine Police received a report of theft of a backpack from the employee break room at the White Pines Senior Living on [ADDRESS REDACTED]. NE, city of Blaine, county of Anoka. S. O. N., "Victim" herein, stated that he left his backpack in the break room during his last shift on October 25th, and that it was missing when he returned. Victim stated that his backpack contained an HP laptop (valued at $800), wireless headphones (valued at $150), personal documents and a Venmo debit card.
Victim was notified by Venmo that his card was attempted to be used at a Speedway and a Holiday gas station later that day and that the charges were declined. Law enforcement reviewed surveillance footage from the two gas stations which showed a female, later identified as AMY MARIE DANIELSON [DOB REDACTED], "Defendant" herein, attempting to use the stolen debit card. Defendant was seen in a beige Ford Taurus with MN Plate # SUR 019 during the attempted transactions. The suspect vehicle was traced to a residence in Blaine, where officers made contact with Defendant after observing that she matched the female on surveillance video.
After reading Defendant her Miranda rights, Defendant admitted to stealing the backpack and laptop from the senior living facility while she was there visiting her boyfriend's mother and obtaining the Venmo debit card. Defendant turned over the stolen backpack to officers, which still contained the laptop and headphones.
