On October 4, 2025, at approximately 8:11 A.M., Minneapolis Police were dispatched to a theft report the 3300 block of 32nd Avenue South in Minneapolis, Hennepin County. Dispatch advised multiple bikes had been taken from the victim's garage overnight. Police arrived and spoke with the victim who stated the garage door had been left open overnight and after reviewing Ring camera footage, he observed multiple suspects had taken five bikes from his garage. The victim reported around 3:15 A.M., two male suspects arrived and stole 3 more bikes from the garage.
The victim provided police with the description and prices for the bicycles. On October 6, 2025, police contacted the victim and learned that the victim [NAME REDACTED] had posted on the Next-Door App regarding the stolen bicycles along with images of the suspect. An individual S. C. Responded to the post identifying the suspect as his nephew, RYAN WILLIAM CHRISTEN [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. S. C. Told the victim that Defendant lives with him and Defendant had brought two of the stolen bikes into the residence but removed them after S. C. Confronted him.
Police spoke with S. C. And confirmed the details he had provided. On October 9, 2025, Police arrested Defendant at S. C.'s residence for the theft of the bicycles. On October 10, 2025, in a post-Miranda interview, Defendant admitted to taking the bicycles with other individuals. At present, Defendant is not in custody. The State requests this complaint issue as a warrant as Defendant has multiple active warrants in Case Nos. ••-CR-••-•••• and ••-CR-••-••••.
