Rogelio Espino Valadez

At approximately 2:28 P.M., on 4/7/2026, Trooper was in the location of MNTH 100 approaching 57th Avenue in Brooklyn Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Trooper observed suspect vehicle quickly change lanes without signaling, passing a vehicle, and then quickly changing back into the right lane without signaling. Suspect Vehicle exited to 57th Ave. Trooper illuminated squad lights to effectuate a traffic stop. Suspect Driver failed to stop. Defendant continued driving and entered a store parking lot.

Suspect Driver looked directly at Trooper. Suspect Driver exited the parking lot, failed to stop at a stop sign at 57th Ave and was nearly struck by another motorist. Suspect Vehicle then made a left turn and traveled westbound on 57th/Bass Lake Rd. Suspect Vehicle appeared to run the red light at MNTH 100 northbound and 57th Avenue stoplight. Trooper located Suspect Driver at an address associated with the registered owner of the vehicle. Trooper positively identified Suspect Driver, Rogelio Espino Valadez, herein Defendant.

Defendant is currently in custody.
