On December 3, 2025, at approximately 9:01pm, Blaine PD received a call from E. G. M., who reported being followed by a small blue vehicle. E. G. M. Was instructed to go to the Spring Lake Park Police Station located at 1301 81st Ave NE in Spring Lake Park, Anoka County, MN. Upon arrival, Spring Lake Park officers observed a blue sedan following E. G. M. The sedan had its hazard lights on and was flashing its brights on and off at E. G. M. The driver of the sedan looked directly at the officers as they approached, and one officer told the driver to stay.
The sedan then began to turn away, so one of the officers repeatedly yelled "Police, stop" at the driver and aimed his flashlight into the back of the sedan as he chased it. The driver of the sedan refused to stop and drove away. The driver was eventually identified as ROBERT ANTHONY PETERS [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Officers went to the Defendant's residence in Blaine. They saw him inside, but he refused to come to the door despite being told multiple times he was under arrest. Defendant eventually opened the door and said, "I was just looking out for the kids." Defendant appears to have no prior criminal convictions but currently has four pending misdemeanor charges in Anoka County for violating a harassment restraining order obtained by his neighbor.
As of the filing of this complaint, Defendant is in the custody of the Anoka County Jail.
