On November 22, 2025, at 11:11 A.M. Deputy Farniok responded to a report of a driver slumped over in his vehicle that was running and in drive at the parking lot of Coborn’s located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] East in Delano, Wright County, Minnesota. The driver had his foot on the brake and would not wake up. Witnesses had placed the vehicle in park prior to Deputy Farniok’s arrival. The driver was subsequently identified as Damian Joseph Killeen, [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein. Deputy Farniok observed evidence of fentanyl use by the defendant in that he had a toot straw in his hand and a piece of burned tinfoil next to him.
Deputy Farniok turned off the vehicle. As Deputy Farniok was about to administer Narcan to the defendant, he woke up. Deputy Farniok saw the defendant’s pupils were restricted. Deputy Farniok heard the defendant’s speech was slurred. The defendant admitted he had used fentanyl. The defendant performed standard field sobriety tests and failed them demonstrating impairment. Deputy Farniok determined the defendant was in physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of fentanyl. Deputy Farniok obtained a search warrant authorizing the taking of a blood or urine sample from the defendant.
A blood sample was obtained from the defendant pursuant to the warrant and will be sent to the crime lab for analysis. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a piece of balled up tinfoil in which there was a powdery white substance consistent with fentanyl that weighed 1.93 grams with packaging. Court records show the defendant was convicted of DWI in 2025 (70-CR-25-12653).
