On March 26, 2026, Edina police were dispatched to a theft at Planet Fitness ([ADDRESS REDACTED]) in the City of Edina, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Law enforcement spoke to the Victim. Victim stated he arrived around 1:51 A.M. Victim reported that he placed numerous personal items into a locker and secured the items with a code. When he returned to his locker around 2:25 A.M., it was empty. An employee stated that a suspect approached them and told them the suspect forgot the combination to his locker.
The employee opened the locker for suspect without verifying that suspect owned the contents of the locker. The contents included an iPhone; a wallet with $227 in cash; driver's license, multiple credit cards, and car keys. Surveillance video showed suspect walking around the facility around 2:08 A.M. The video showed an employee getting up and assisting suspect. The video showed suspect exiting around 2:09 A.M., carrying victim's sweatshirt. The investigator reviewed a Driver Vehicle Services photograph of HAMZA HUSSEIN ABDALLA, Defendant.
Defendant is the registered owner of a vehicle. A database picked up Defendant's vehicle traveling southbound on Xerxes Avenue at 64th Street at 1:53 A.M. On March 26, 2026. The suspect from the surveillance video appears similar to Defendant's DVS photograph, height, and weight. Victim provided law enforcement estimates to replace the stolen car key fobs for $2,155.04 and $745.65, totaling $2,900.69. The cost to replace the cellphone is approximately $599.00. It cost Victim $26.00 to replace his Driver’s License.
Victim estimated the value of his stolen wallet was around $150.00.
