At around 6:30 PM on December 4, 2025, officers were sent to Western and Cook Avenues, St. Paul, Ramsey County on a domestic. Officers spoke to ALJ [DOB REDACTED] whose right eye area was swollen and had redness and bruising on her neck, ears, and shoulder. ALJ also had bite marks on her arms and hands. Officers noted the bite marks appeared to be fresh and had broken the skin. ALJ said her ex-boyfriend, BRIAN DAQUANE WILLIAMS [DOB REDACTED], had caused her injuries. ALJ explained that she criticized Williams’ driving hoping they wouldn’t get pulled over.
They continued arguing when they got back home to [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County. Williams got annoyed, just snapped, and hit her head multiple times with an open hand. ALJ just got braces, so his hits cut up her mouth. Williams strangled ALJ hard enough that she could not take a breath in. They separated, and ALJ ran outside, got into her car, and called police. Williams called police and claimed ALJ had grabbed scissors and tried to stab his leg and face, so he hit her in self-defense.
Officers located and arrested Williams. When being walked to a squad Williams said he was stabbed with scissors. Williams later said he had been stabbed with knives. Williams was advised of his constitutional rights and agreed to speak to police. Williams said they argued while driving home. Williams said, “I pushed her. I put my hands on her. Then after that she put her hands on me.” Williams claimed ALJ grabbed some “baby little scissors” and stabbed him multiple times. He pushed ALJ off him, and she fought back.
Williams pushed ALJ to the ground. Williams saw officers in the area and took a bus downtown. Williams showed officers 2-3 cuts on his right shin, but officers could not determine if the injuries were fresh. Officers located multiple bite marks on Williams, but it appeared the injuries were old. When being booked into jail, Williams said, “I’ll beat the b**** again.
