On March 27, 2026, Fridley Police responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE in Fridley, Anoka County for a vehicle theft report. The vehicle was a 2021 Ford Explorer bearing MN plate 04675247. The owner of the vehicle was R. J. F., Victim hereinafter. He brought the vehicle in for an inspection. In the early morning hours of March 27, an individual was observed on security camera entering the businesses lot, tampering with this vehicle, and then driving it away. ALPR captured photos of the vehicle on 3/27 and 3/28. The driver of the vehicle was identified in the photos as Elliot Samuels Vaughn [DOB REDACTED], Defendant hereinafter.
On 3/31/26, the Defendant was located and placed under arrest. During a search of his person, law enforcement found various tools consistent with burglary and motor vehicle tampering. At no time did the Victim consent to the Defendant driving this vehicle. It is estimated that this vehicle is valued at $13,625.78.
