On April 3, 2026, at about 12:54 P.M., Bloomington Police responded to a theft in progress at Walmart located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] E in Bloomington, Hennepin County. Loss Prevention staff (LP) watched a female, later identified as EMILY CONOVER MCMAHON [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, select merchandise, go to the self-checkout, and fail to scan and pay for some of the items before leaving the store with all the items. Officers apprehended Defendant for theft, and the stolen merchandise in her cart were valued at $37.50 in total.
A search incident to arrest was conducted, and officers recovered several amounts of suspected narcotics from Defendant's purse. From a small pink cannister on her purse, officers recovered 1.97 grams that field- tested positive for methamphetamine, and 0.10 grams that field-tested positive for fentanyl. An additional 0.97 grams and 0.36 grams of field-test positive methamphetamine was recovered from a blue case in Defendant's purse, for a total of 3.3 grams methamphetamine. Defendant is currently in custody at Hennepin County Jail.
