On April 22, 2026, law enforcement responded to a domestic assault call on the 4400 block of 5th Ave S in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Call remarks indicated that the caller was being assaulted by their mother following an argument about cleaning. Upon arrival, officers met with a woman identified as ANDREA ARMSTRONG-MORROW, Defendant herein. Defendant admitted she had yelled at her daughter to help clean and she refused. Defendant stated she determined she was going to turn off her daughter's cellphone service and grabbed her phone.
Defendant admitted she and her daughter got into a physical altercation. Defendant also admitted to putting her hand around her daughter's neck. Defendant's daughter, a known juvenile female, hereinafter Victim, was located outside the home. Victim reported she and Defendant got into an argument about the dishes and Defendant became upset and was yelling and cursing. Defendant took Victim's phone and started to push Victim around. Victim pushed back and then Defendant put her hand around Victim's throat and squeezed until it became hard for Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim [NAME REDACTED] could not talk because of the pressure.
There were obvious injuries to Victim's neck. Victim's brother, Witness herein, also witnessed the assault. Defendant was placed under arrest and is currently in custody.
