On January 7, 2026, Bloomington police officers were dispatched to SpringHill Suits ([ADDRESS REDACTED]), Bloomington, Hennepin County, for a civil assist. Upon arrival, the front desk employee stated Donquale Delmonte Jefferson, born on [DOB REDACTED], herein DEFENDANT, has a room at this hotel. The employee stated DEFENDANT was supposed to leave but hasn’t and the hotel wants DEFENDANT trespassed. Officers located DEFENDANT and during routine checks they discovered DEFENDANT was non- compliant with his Predatory Offender Registration.
Officers learned that DEFENDANT has to register as a POR due to his conviction from June 27, 2012, for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child out of Harris County Texas. This conviction requires DEFENDANT to be a lifetime registrant. Search incident to arrest, officers located several documents that indicate DEFENDANT lives in Minnesota. There were several hotel cards, a Minneapolis Police Department blue card from 2025, an application for a MN identification card dated December 23, 2025, and Hennepin County Health and Human Services signed person statement of assets dated December 3, 2025. DEFENDANT has a prior Failure to Register conviction from September 20, 2018, out of Midland County, Texas.
A search of law enforcement databases also showed DEFENDANT had police contact in Fridley on January 4, 2026, and Minnetonka on November 26, 2025. In his post-Miranda interview, DEFENDANT was shown his Duty to Register Packet that had all 27 lines initialed. DEFENDANT acknowledged he completed the document and knew of the requirements – including updating within 72 hours when he moves. DEFENDANT said he had flown to Minnesota January 7, 2026, and is currently homeless in D. C. After being confronted with all the documentation, DEFENDANT stated he wanted to be forthcoming and start over.
DEFENDANT stated he arrived in Minnesota via bus on November 21, 2025. DEFENDANT is currently in custody.
