On July 18, 2025, Carver County Sheriff’s Detective Sandberg received a Cyber Tipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (“hereinafter NCMEC”). The report stated that KIK had identified an account that sent two obvious child sexual abuse material (hereinafter "CSAM") videos via KIK Messenger to other KIK users. The videos were sent from username "sktk004" on September 1, 2024, with one video being sent at 12:57 A.M. UTC, and the other being sent at 2:03 P.M. UTC. The "sktk004" KIK account was registered to a Gmail account belonging to "Tim Lund". KIK also provided Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for the logins to the KIK account on September 1, 2024. IP address information registered to Mary Lund at [ADDRESS REDACTED], in the City of Waconia, County of Carver.
Mary Lund is the mother of TIMOTHY ALEXANDER LUND, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein. The defendant and his father also reside at the Linden Circle address. A search warrant was executed on the defendant's KIK account. Within the KIK response, Detective Sandberg located a message thread from August 31, 2024, wherein the defendant was asked by another KIK user what kind of "taboo" he is into and the defendant responds "Incest, young". The video shows a prepubescent female child's vagina being repeatedly penetrated by an adult male's penis. The child is wearing black underwear with a crown and the words "little princess" that is pulled to the side to expose her vagina. After approximately 50 seconds, the adult male removes his penis and ejaculates on the child's stomach. After the defendant sent that video, the other responded "Is that cp". "CP" is an acronym for the phrase "child porn", which refers to the common name of CSAM. Detective Sandberg observed that the defendant sent the above CSAM video to eight other KIK users at various times as well.
