All of the conduct described herein occurred within the County of St. Louis, State of Minnesota, unless otherwise noted. At 7:52 AM on November 3, 2025, a Duluth Police Officer responded to a shoplifting incident at Walgreens, located at [ADDRESS REDACTED]., Duluth, St. Louis County, Minnesota. The reporting party told the officer that the suspect was a white male wearing black with a black backpack, and that he took a candy bar and a pop without paying for them. The officer located a male matching this description one block away, holding a half-eaten candy bar.
The suspect identified himself as Defendant DORIAN MICHAEL BEST ([DOB REDACTED]). He admitted that the pop he stole was in his backpack, with other merchandise he had not paid for. A search of the backpack revealed more merchandise Defendant had not paid for. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $33.14. Defendant was told to leave and not return to Walgreens for one year on October 11, 2025, less than a month before this incident. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
