On October 8, 2025, around 1423 hours, officers responded to a 911 call from a residence in the 9400 block of Hillside Drive in Champlin, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a 76-year- old Victim reporting that her daughter ADRIANA GUTIERREZ-MONTENEGRO [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, had just taken her belongings and locked her out of the house. The Victim also reported her neck and ear were injured from where the Defendant forcefully removed her lanyard. According to the Victim, Defendant was yelling and throwing things inside the home, so she began recording on her phone.
She said the Defendant got in her face and yelled before grabbing the phone out of her hands. Defendant then forcefully pulled the lanyard holding Victim’s house keys off from around the Victim’s neck. The two were in the garage at this point, and Defendant went back inside with the Victim’s belongings and locked all the doors. The Victim called 911 from a neighbor’s house and waited there for help. Officers knocked loudly multiple times on the front door, but no one answered. The Defendant finally came to the door after officers started knocking on her bedroom window.
The Defendant claimed the Victim [NAME REDACTED], and she did not know anything about the Victim’s phone or house keys. Officers saw the lanyard on the floor in the entryway. Officers then called the Victim’s missing phone and followed the ringing. They located the phone behind a piece of furniture near the Defendant’s bedroom. Officers then watched video from the Victim’s phone. The video showed Defendant yelling and pacing around. The Defendant then slammed the door and started throwing things around in the garage.
Defendant then came back inside, and it appears as though she smacked the Victim’s phone. The video then stops. The Victim [NAME REDACTED] is violent and the daily intimidation and threats have been escalating. The Victim appeared fearful and crying throughout her interaction with police. Defendant has the following qualified domestic-violence related offense convictions: • 27-CR-17-29939 – MSD OFP Violation, convicted 6/24/2019 • 27-CR-17-29938 – MSD OFP Violation, convicted 6/24/2019 Defendant is out of custody.
