On January 11, 2026 at approximately 2:41 A.M., Sergeant Tyler Tabatt attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a vehicle located in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota. The vehicle pulled over and Sergeant Tabatt observed multiple people run from the vehicle. Sergeant Tabatt spoke with S. T. J., an adult identified in the police reports. S. T. J. Reported that Stephen Niel Breitzman, [DOB REDACTED], was the driver of the vehicle and had picked her up to assist her in getting tires for her own vehicle.
S. T. J. Stated that Breitzman was trying to evade law enforcement as he was drinking and had warrants. Officer Zachary Bares spoke with B. R. B., an adult identified in the police reports. B. R. B. Stated that she was a passenger and that a "Stephen B." was the driver of the vehicle. Officer Carla Hemminger spoke with Breitzman who was unwilling to undergo field sobriety testing. Officer Hemminger detected an overwhelming odor of alcohol from Breitzman and observed that his eyes were bloodshot and watery.
Officer Hemminger also observed that Breitzman spoke with slurred speech. Officer Hemminger read Breitzman a breath test advisory. Breitzman indicated that he would not undergo a breath test. Breitzman was previously convicted of felony driving under the influence on March 23, 2017 in Benton County District Court file number ••-CR-••-••••. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct. The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant, on or about the 11th day of January, 2026 in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, committed the offenses described herein.
