On 01/01/2026, at approximately 0129 hours, Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at an apartment building located at 18** Bryant Ave N in Minneapolis, Hennepin County. Officers arrived and made contact with a known adult male, Victim herein. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had just attempted to enter his apartment unit when someone inside of the unit pushed the door shut and locked him out. Victim stated that he eventually entered the unit and observed three individuals who then threatened Victim and told him to leave.
Victim did not know any of the individuals in the unit and stated that he had not given any of them permission to be in the unit. Officers then went to Victim’s apartment unit and knocked on the door, which was answered by Joseph Lee Samuelson, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Officers placed Defendant under arrest. Officers then conducted a search of the apartment unit with Victim. No other individuals were found in the unit. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was missing various items, including two televisions.
Officers observed the apartment unit to be ransacked. Defendant is in custody.
