On December 20, 2025, at approximately 3:00 P.M., Minnetonka Police responded to a theft report at Macy's, located in the Ridgedale Mall at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Minnetonka, Hennepin County. Dispatch provided a description of the male suspect and stated he was wearing a wig, white sweatshirt, and black pants. Police contacted Loss Prevention who stated the male suspect was walking through the west lot carrying the stolen items. Police located the male suspect and when police activated the lights and sirens, the suspect quickly ducked behind the front of a parked vehicle and appeared to put something under the vehicle.
Police detained the suspect and removed the merchandise from his hands. Police identified the suspect as JORDAN TIMOTHY WELCH [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Police also located multiple sunglasses under the front of the vehicle where Defendant was standing. The total value of stolen items is $1,724.00. At present, Defendant is not in custody.
