On February 2, 2026, officers with the Minneapolis Police Department responded to the report of a man suffering seizures who had just arrived on a Greyhound Bus at Ramp B at 516 2nd Ave N, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Dispatch notes included information that the Defendant was unruly with security. The man was identified as CHRISTOPHER LAMONT BROWN, [DOB REDACTED], “Defendant” herein. When officers arrived, Defendant was extremely uncooperative and aggressive towards officers. Defendant, in violation of officer instructions, picked up a black backpack and maintained a threatening stance towards officers.
Officers gave multiple instructions for Defendant to put the bag down, but he was uncooperative and officers took him to the ground. While on the ground Defendant kicked an officer, Victim, [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant was secured in the back of the squad and taken to the jail where he was initially turned away for altered mental state and high blood pressure. Defendant was taken to the hospital and cleared and transported back to the Hennepin County Jail. During a search of his property during booking, officers located approximately 79 grams of suspected marijuana.
During Defendant’s booking process jail staff located an anomaly in Defendant’s groin. The anomaly was recovered and was a black sock with multiple baggies of suspected narcotics. There were three bags of white rocklike substances that field-tested positive for cocaine and weighed as follows: 4.94 grams, 7.43 grams, and 14.05 grams. One bag contained light green powder, weighed 11.95 grams without packaging, and field-tested positive for fentanyl. One bag contained crystal substance and weighed 13.71 grams without packaging and field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Defendant is currently pending charges in 27-CR-24-19302. Due to the serious danger presented to the public by possession of this amount of narcotics, and the likelihood that the Defendant will not respond to a summons based on his behavior, the State respectfully requests a warrant.
