06/08/1998) for felony receiving stolen property out of Pope County. This investigation involved the recovery of numerous stolen firearms that had been taken from Kandiyohi County. The CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force has also received reports about JOHNSON being involved in drug trafficking in the area. At approximately 1:05 P.M. On January 22, 2026, Agents located JOHNSON in his vehicle and he was placed under arrest. During a search incident to arrest, Agents Hennes and Siefkes located numerous baggies of a white crystal substance field testing positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
These items were as follows: In one larger baggie there was 36.98 grams of a crystal substance without packaging which tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine (tag #1). That bag was further located in the “birthday cake mini muffins bag”. Next there was a white substance in a Ziploc baggie which field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine and weighed 2.51 grams without packaging (tag #2). Next there was a white crystal substance in a Ziploc baggie which field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine and weighed 6.26 grams without packaging (tag #3). Lastly, during the transport of the items that were placed in a new baggie by the Willmar Police Department, there was a loose amount of crystal substance on the bottom of this bag.
The substance was then collected and weighed 0.12 grams without packaging and field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine (tag #4). It should noted that in bag #1 there appeared to be holes in the bag and some of the substance may have come out during that process. The total weight that was seized by law enforcement from the person of JOHNSON was 45.88 grams without packaging. While searching JOHNSON, a digital scale which field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine was located on his person (tag #5). Additionally, there was an iPhone that was located that was turned on, on the person of JOHNSON. Upon looking at the phone, Agent Hay observed there was a crystal substance residue throughout the phone, and field tested positive for methamphetamine (tag #6). Lastly, Agent Hay collected numerous other items of drug paraphernalia to include the birthday cake bag that tag #1 had been located on, a plastic straw, and two additional baggies.
JOHNSON was then arrested by the Willmar Police Department and transported to the Kandiyohi County Jail. Agent Hay received a search warrant to search JOHNSON’S vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, Agent Hennes searched the driver’s side floorboard area and noted a Ziploc baggie that contained a white 2 34-CR-26-50 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 1/23/2026 substance. Initially this substance was field tested and was positive for the presence of methamphetamine. Later, during the evidence collection, in the evidence room, Agent Hay also field tested for fentanyl and noted a positive field test.
