On December 11, 2025, at approximately 12:12 P.M., Wright County Deputy Hanson took a report of a theft from MARSHALLS, 1429 7TH ST E, Monticello, Wright County, Minnesota. TJ MAXX's National Task Force Organized Retail Crime Investigator (Marshall's loss prevention team) Devin Unger was reporting multiple thefts involving multiple suspects. Devin provided 3 reports from 11/18/25, 12/4/25, and 12/8/25. All three cases total to 89 items having been taken, totaling $2017.11. Devin advised the Loss Prevention team was waiting for the suspects to return and would call Law Enforcement to catch the parties in the act.
At 4:20 P.M., Dep. Hanson returned to Marshalls to collect video evidence. Upon his arrival at the Loss Prevention office, Devin advised that multiple suspects from the previous thefts were in Marshalls. Monticello units were advised and were on standby to stop the parties involved as they exited. While watching the security cameras, Devin and Dep. Hanson witnessed members of the group place items into reusable Marshalls bags. At 4:38 P.M. The group exited Marshalls without paying for any of the stolen merchandise.
Deputies standing by were notified of the group leaving and 5 parties were detained outside of Marshalls. 3 of the 5 parties were witnessed carrying bags full of items out of Marshalls and making it past the point of sale. The three parties identified as persons which carried out bags of merchandise are ANANIAS CORTEZ WILLIAMS, JR, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter defendant Williams; MINNIE LA'VEDA MARIE BURKS, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter defendant Burks, and DAVONNA CHAREE’ MCMILLAN- TURNER, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter defendant Turner.
On today’s date, the group removed 61 items from Marshalls totaling $1298.40 Devin advised that defendant BURKS had been a part of previous groups that had shoplifted from the Monticello Marshalls.
