Based on reports from an incident occurring on or about December 3, 2025, your Complaint offers the following to establish probable cause: On January 5, 2026, Woodbury Police Officers met with J. A.M. About an criminal sexual contact she witnessed on December 3, 2025. J. A.M. And her husband, ADAM ANDREW MEDLIN [DOB REDACTED], live at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in the City of Woodbury, Washington County, State of Minnesota. The couple have three children that reside in the home, including a seven (7) year-old daughter (Victim). Victim a non-verbal autistic child that is neurologically disabled and has the cognitive abilities of a two (2) year-old child.
On December 3, 2025, J. A.M. Was doing laundry and then putting clothes away. J. A.M. Entered Victim's bedroom and saw MEDLIN performing oral sex (cunnilingus) on Victim. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on the floor fully nude. MEDLIN was fully clothed and was lying on his stomach with his head between Victims legs as he performed the oral sex. Victim [NAME REDACTED]. After J. A.M. Walked in, MEDLIN sat up immediately and his face immediately became red and he appeared shocked and ashamed. J. A.M. Told officers she was shocked and unable to process what she had just observed.
J. A.M. Then told MEDLIN to dress Victim [NAME REDACTED]. J. A.M. Told officers she had to go back down stairs because the couple's other special needs child was been seen by a speech therapist and physical therapist in the kitchen. The next day MEDLIN told his wife he did not know why he did it, but admitted that the sexual encounters had been going on for some time. On January 6, 2026, MEDLIN gave a Mirandized statement to law enforcement and admitted that he had performed oral sex on Victim at least four times since May of 2025. MEDLIN told officers the first incident occurred when they moved to Minnesota in May of 2025. MEDLIN told officers that he and his wife had adopted the Victim in 2021.
