On December 31, 2025, Rogers Police Department Officer(s) were dispatched to Target located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] South in Rogers, Hennepin County, Minnesota, on a report of a person concealing items at that location. When responding, officer(s) were updated that the suspect was getting into a red minivan. Officers located the red minivan nearby. Officers located the vehicle near City Hall located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] South in Rogers, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers initiated their emergency squad lights once in that area.
The driver of the van appeared to then ram a City Hall gate located on the southwest side of the building. An officer subsequently positioned their squad vehicle with their squad vehicle lights activated. The red minivan then drove towards the stopped squad vehicle, passing the driver’s side of the squad vehicle and crashing into the pole that previously held the City Hall gate. The driver of the minivan during the striking of the gate was later identified as Bradley Blackletter [DOB REDACTED], "Defendant" herein.
The officer exited their squad vehicle and yelled at Defendant to get out of their vehicle. The officer also struck the driver's window and yelled loudly to get out of the vehicle and that he was under arrest. Defendant reversed the minivan and fled the area. The damaged gate is estimated to cost approximately $12,000 to repair. A Target Loss Prevention employee reported Defendant had entered the store by himself, and that he was dropped off by a red minivan. Defendant selected trading cards and placed them into a shopping cart before concealing the trading cards in a blue bag.
Defendant then approached the front of the store, looked around, and then exited the store with the unpaid-for merchandise. A Target Loss Prevention Employee stopped Defendant outside the store. Defendant gave the employee the merchandise before getting into the waiting minivan. The minivan drove about twenty feet before Defendant got into the driver's seat of the minivan and continued driving. The recovered merchandise amounted to $717.05 in value to Target. Officers spoke with a known adult woman, "S. D." herein, who reported being the passenger in the vehicle during this incident.
S. D. Acknowledged it was her vehicle involved, and reported Defendant as being the driver. Defendant was subsequently arrested and is currently in custody.
