The Complainant having reviewed the applicable reports believes the following facts to be true: On September 18, 2025, in the City of St. Paul, Ramsey County, MN, Andre Alan Stevenson, DOB: 11.02.1977 (Defendant herein) called 911 and reported that his grandmother had been shot and was having trouble breathing. Defendant also stated that he did not know who shot her. While officers were enroute to the scene Defendant changed his story and indicated to the 911 dispatcher that there was a child [NAME REDACTED] in the apartment near his.
St. Paul Police Officers responded to the scene and began discussing breaking down the door given the serious nature of the report. At this time Defendant opened the door, and informed Officers that he told the 911 dispatcher that his grandmother was shot in order to obtain a faster police response. The reason he actually called 911 was that he claimed to hear a child in a neighboring apartment unit say “please stop raping me.” Defendant claimed to have called 911 in the past to report hearing the child [NAME REDACTED]. When officers asked about his grandmother being injured Defendant stated that there is no grandma involved.
Defendant again clarified that he made up the statements about his grandmother to obtain a faster police response. Officers searched the neighboring apartment and did not locate any children or adults in need of help. Officers also confirmed that there was also nobody shot at the scene.
