On March 20, 2026, at approximately 1:07 AM, an officer from the Columbia Heights Police Department observed a Chevrolet Impala leaving the parking lot of Holiday Gas Station on Central Ave NE. The officer observed the right rear taillight was broken. While driving northbound on Tyle St NE from 44th Ave NE, the officer activated their emergency lights. In response, the vehicle stopped at 45th Ave NE and Tyler St NE, city of Columbia Heights, county of Anoka, Minnesota. The officer pulled behind the vehicle with his lights still activated, but the vehicle drove away.
The officer observed the vehicle run a stop sign and continue northbound. The officer followed after the vehicle while driving normal speeds. The officer later located the vehicle in the parking lot of Budget Host Inn, located at 6881 Highway 65 NE, city of Fridley. As the officer pulled into the parking lot, with his emergency lights activated, and made a U-turn, blocking the only exit. In response, the vehicle drove over the small snowbank and drive through the grass field to get back onto Central Ave.
While doing that, the officer was able to observe the driver as a male with a beard and hat on. Later that evening, the officers from the Forest Lake Police Department reported that they were able to stop the vehicle and arrested the passenger, M. G., and the driver, later identified as Jordan Kevin Hull [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. The Columbia Heights Police Officer responded to Forest Lake and confirmed that Defendant was the man he saw driving the vehicle that fled from him.
