On 03/05/2026 at 0048 hours, Maplewood Police responded to a domestic incident in an apartment at [ADDRESS REDACTED] East in Maplewood, Ramsey County. The complainant said they heard a couple yelling and heard the male threatening to shoot the female and her kids. Upon arrival, police heard a verbal argument coming from the building. Police went to the apartment door and, after multiple announcements, KLC opened the door. KLC’s two children were in the apartment with her. KLC told police she had been arguing on the phone with Freddie Tyrone DUDLEY Jr ([DOB REDACTED]). Other assisting officers, however, spotted DUDLEY trying to bail out of KLC’s apartment window.
Officers entered the apartment and made contact with DUDLEY who physically resisted when police tried to arrest him. Once DUDLEY had been restrained, KLC said DUDLEY showed up at the apartment at about 0000 hours saying he wanted to apologize and then started arguing about an incident that occurred on 03/02/2026. In the previous incident, DUDLEY assaulted KLC causing substantial injuries, strangled her, tried to take her firearm, and stole her vehicle (RCAO#[PHONE REDACTED]). DUDLEY then said that he should choke KLC and said that if KLC did not drop the charges from the 03/02/2026 incident, he would kill her.
KLC said she picked up her phone multiple times during the altercation, but DUDLEY kept slapping it out of her hands saying he would kill her if she called the police. When police knocked on the door, DUDLEY grabbed KLC’s wrist and her hair and told her to not open the door and said that if she did he would kill her. KLC said she believes DUDLEY would kill her and requested that a DANCO be issued. For purposes of Rule 6.02, DUDLEY is on probation and has open cases for Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle (••-CR-••-••••), Domestic Assault - Strangulation (••-CR-••-••••), and an Auto Theft/3rd Degree Assault/Domestic Assault – Strangulation case (same victim) currently being reviewed (RCAO# [PHONE REDACTED]).
