On November 27, 2024, at 0620 hours, Metro Transit police officers responded to Union Depot, [ADDRESS REDACTED] E, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a suspect who threatened a bus driver. Bus operator, KMP, [DOB REDACTED], said that a group entered the bus at University and Snelling, rode to Minneapolis, and then all the way back to the Union Depot. KMP told the group that they needed to exit the bus. All but one male exited the bus. That male, later identified as Jeremiah Joel Pratt, [DOB REDACTED], threatened to stab KMP, while holding a folding knife.
Video captured the incident. When KMP told Pratt to exit, he put his hand in his pocket, advanced on KMP, and said he could stab her. KMP asked if he had a knife and Pratt said, “I got more that a knife!” Several Metro Transit officers identified Pratt from prior dealings with him. On August 21, 2025, Officer Fickett contacted Pratt and showed him still photos of the incident. Pratt said he did not recall the incident. He did acknowledge that he is the person shown in the video.
