On November 7, 2025, officers spoke to LR [DOB REDACTED] at Regions Hospital after he self- transported with a gunshot wound to his left ankle. LR explained he received a call from SPENCER LELAND NEADEAU-LYONS [DOB REDACTED] and ALICIA ANN KAUFENBERG [DOB REDACTED]. Neadeau-Lyons owed LR money. LR agreed to meet Neadeau-Lyons and Kaufenberg at the McDonald’s located at [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County. LR drove himself and two children to the McDonald’s in his BMW. Neadeau-Lyons pulled up in a newer model red or cranberry GMC Terrain.
LR got into the front passenger seat. Neadeau-Lyons was in the Terrain’s driver’s seat, and Kaufenberg was in the backseat. Neadeau-Lyons drove the Terrain just south of the McDonald’s on Aurora Avenue and parked. Kaufenberg displayed a purple or pink compact handgun and said, “Give me everything you have.” Kaufenberg waved the gun around and acted crazy. LR told them he didn’t have anything. Kaufenberg leaned between the seats and felt LR’s pockets. The gun went off and the bullet struck LR’s ankle.
LR thought Kaufenberg was trying to shoot the floorboard. LR had to open the front passenger door by reaching through the window and unlocking it – LR believed the door’s child [NAME REDACTED] had been engaged as part of a plan to rob him. Neadeau-Lyons and Kaufenberg took LR’s wallet, car keys, a chain, and cell phone. LR limped back to his BMW. LR drove his kids to a relative’s house, and he drove himself to the hospital. LR said he thought Kaufenberg and Neadeau-Lyons were cousins. LR said he thought Neadeau-Lyons lives in Wisconsin.
Surveillance video showed LR arrived at the McDonald’s in his BMW. A red GMC SUV pulled up behind the BMW. LR got out of the BMW and into the SUV’s front passenger seat. The SUV pulled out of camera view. LR returned a few minutes later limping and walking at a slow pace. Neadeau-Lyons is tied to a red 2013 GMC Acadia. Kaufenberg has prior felony convictions for VOCSL 5 and VOCSL 3 that make her ineligible to possess firearms or ammunition. Neadeau-Lyons is believed to be in Wisconsin.
