On 04/01/2016 at 1249 hours, Officers were dispatched to the report of an unwanted male at [ADDRESS REDACTED]., Hopkins, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Initial information from dispatch was that "Angelo Wilson" was trying to "put his hands" on the reporting party in front of her children. Dispatch advised they could hear a male yelling in the background. Officers were familiar with this address and know that the resident, Victim DB, has been assaulted and property damaged by a Deangelo Jamar Wilson, [DOB REDACTED] (now referred to as "Defendant") in the past.
Upon arrival, both parties were standing in front of the address. They appeared to be arguing but not physically. Defendant saw officers and went into the residence. Officers called for him to come outside. A short time later, Defendant came out the front door and ran to the south across Oxford St. Defendant continued running south on the east side of [ADDRESS REDACTED] N. As he fled on foot, he jumped off a 4-5 foot retaining wall onto the driveway for the underground garage. When he landed officers could hear an audible snap and Wilson began screaming that he had broken his ankle.
Officers saw that his foot was at a 90- degree angle from his lower leg with both bones protruding. While officers were caring for Defendant while medical attention arrived, another officer returned to [ADDRESS REDACTED] to speak with Victim DB. Victim DB stated that Defendant got angry and "charged at" her with his hands raised (holding her own hands in the air) and she swatted him away. When asked if she was afraid when he did that, Victim DB responded "Hell yeah." She said he also made threats to "beat her ass" and "I'll smack all you bitches." Due to Defendant's significant injury, he was transported to HCMC for care.
It was decided that officers would not stay with him at the hospital and would request a warrant. Defendant has the following QDVROs: - Interfere 911 Calls - 8/25/2021 - 62-CR-17-6802 - Domestic Assault - 9/18/2017 - 62-CR-16-8778 Additionally, Defendant also has a pending Felony Domestic Assault case from 03/2026, 27CR265600 involving the same victim. A condition of that case is to stay 3 blocks away from Victim [NAME REDACTED]. A warrant is requested in the interest of public safety. A DANCO is requested.
