On 05/15/2026 at 1026 hours, Ramsey County Deputies were dispatched to 4703 Hwy 10 E in Arden Hills, Ramsey County for a domestic call. En route, the Deputy was notified that the suspect had fled to a residence at [ADDRESS REDACTED]. Upon arrival at the residence, the Deputy met with “STEPHANIE,” her daughter, and her daughter’s boyfriend. The suspect was identified as STEPHANIE’s son; Jesse Jacob SINGLETON ([DOB REDACTED]). STEPHANIE was in tears, visibly shaken, and had redness and scratches on her left arm.
STEPHANIE and her daughter’s boyfriend explained that all four of them were driving in a car and SINGLETON started screaming. STEPHANIE stopped the car and told SINGLETON to get out. When he refused, STEPHANIE tried to physically remove him. As SINGLETON resisted, he rolled the car window up on STEPHANIE’s arm, grabbed her arm, and pushed, pulled, and scratched her. At one point, SINGLETON said "I'm going to come back and kill you." SINGLETON then ran to STEPHANIE’s residence at [ADDRESS REDACTED], took a bike, and fled.
STEPHANIE said SINGLETON had been formally trespassed from the residence. In response to blueprint questions STEPHANIE said that in the past SINGLETON had used a weapon against her or threatened her with a weapon and had threatened to kill her or her children. She said she believed SINGLETON might try to kill her and said he had access to a firearm. Deputies found SINGLETON at County Road H and 14th Ave NW and arrested him. SINGLETON said he lived at the [ADDRESS REDACTED] address. He said he had been issued a trespass notice and shouldn't be at the address, but his mother lets him stay there.
SINGLETON said STEPHANIE hit him and ripped his shirt when she yanked him out of the car. During a post-Miranda interview, SINGLETON said he argued with STEPHANIE in the car. STEPHANIE told him to get out, he refused, and STEPHANIE tried to remove him by yanking on his shirt, hitting him, and pushing him. SINGLETON said he got out, walked home, and rode off on his bike. He denied hitting STEPHANIE and denied making any threats. During a follow-up interview on 05/17/2026, STEPHANIE said that when she tried to remove SINGLETON from the vehicle, he was clawing at her, hitting her, and screaming that he was going to kill her.
