On 12/5/2025 at approximately 11:16 hours MPD officers were dispatched to a stabbing at [ADDRESS REDACTED], Minneapolis, Hennepin County. Upon arrival officers encountered a female, later identified as JACKSON, PATRICIA JOANNE, [DOB REDACTED] (now referred to as "Defendant") who, without prompting spontaneously stated she was "the one who stabbed someone." Victim MM was located exiting the elevator and coming to the main level of the complex. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was stabbed with a large kitchen knife.
He stated he had been in a relationship with the Defendant and they dated for about one year, but broke up about one month ago. Officers observed a cut on Victim MM's torso that appeared to be where the knife had penetrated. Firefighters and EMS staff arrived. An officer rode with Victim MM to North Memorial Hospital. Victim MM explained that today he was in front of the 7th floor elevators talking with other residents when Defendant approached him and got his attention by touching his shoulder. Victim MM stated when he turned around Defendant slapped him on the right side of his face with a closed fist.
Defendant then began yelling at him asking "Where's my money?!" Victim MM stated she began punching him 4-5 times in the face. Victim [NAME REDACTED] did not defend himself and just stood there. Victim MM stated Defendant continued to ask, "Where's my money" and then raised her hand over her head with a knife pointing downward and she stabbed him. Victim MM stated Defendant "Just swung at me," referring to the knife. Victim MM stated Defendant then grabbed his shirt in the chest area and pushed him against the wall.
Victim MM said he believed Defendant was going to stab him again, and that he felt like Defendant was going to kill him. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was pinned against the wall, he hit her hand away and ran towards the stairs fleeing from her. Victim MM stated "She chased me, she wanted to get me." Victim [NAME REDACTED] was regarding $260 he owed Defendant from a personal loan and dispute about an air fryer. Officers observed there was a cut to Victim MM's shirt and blood where he had been stabbed with the knife.
Defendant was taken into custody. While being transported to the Hennepin County Jail Defendant told officers she stabbed Victim MM and she regrets it. Additionally, she stated she "was ready to face the consequences of her actions.
