13 pm, Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy Luckow was dispatched to Laske Reno Bar and Grill in Douglas County, MN, for a report of a suspicious male who arrived in a Chevy Avalanche. The stated the male was inside the bar asking for gas money. The caller provided dispatch with a description and last known location of the suspect. Dep. Luckow located the suspect walking northbound on Highway 29, about 200 yards from the bar. The suspect was identified as JACOD DAVID DENNY, [DOB REDACTED] (“Defendant”). The Defendant had multiple DOC warrants for his arrest, and he was taken into custody.

Dep. Luckow located a baggie of suspected methamphetamine in the Defendant’s wallet. The baggie and suspected methamphetamine weighed 1.9 grams. The Defendant also had approximately $3,500 in cash in his wallet. The Defendant’s criminal history includes three prior felony 5th Degree Controlled Substance Possession convictions under Sherburne County District Court File No. 71-CR-20-220 on 8/9/2021, under Douglas County District Court File No. 21-CR-15-173 on 8/4/2015, and under Douglas County District Court File No. 21-CR-14-1839, and one prior felony 3rd Degree Controlled Substance Possession conviction under Douglas County District Court File No. 21-CR-09-795 on 6/29/2009.
