On January 7, 2026, officers with the Brooklyn Center Police Department were dispatched to the report of a burglary at TJ Maxx located at 1300 Shingle Creek Crossing, Brooklyn Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival officers learned that loss prevention had stopped the subject, JOSEPH SCOTT FELIX a/k/a JOSEPH SCOTT WALLS, [DOB REDACTED], “Defendant” herein. Officers learned that Defendant had entered the TJ Maxx and concealed fragrances and active wear in a sandwich bag and then passed all points of sale without paying.

The pre-tax value of the items was $104.95. Defendant had been previously trespassed for one year from all stores at 1300 Shingle Creek Crossing on June 24, 2025. Defendant had been advised of the trespass. Defendant has previously received a stay of imposition of felony sentence of Aggravated Robbery in the Second Degree in violation of Minn.
