On March 11, 2026, Bloomington Police officers were dispatched to the Comfort Inn, located at 1321 78th St E, Bloomington, Hennepin County, on a report of a burglary. Victim reported to officers that she was staying in a room and left for an hour to go shopping. When she returned, numerous items, including her purse, a bottle of expensive whiskey, some clothing, transaction cards, and other items were missing. Victim noticed that the door to an adjoining hotel room was left open, suggesting the renters of the neighboring room accessed her room from next door.
Victim updated officers that hotel staff saw a female walking around the hotel with a purse matching the description of Victims. A male was also seen leaving the adjoining room. Officers arrived and took the male, later identified as Trenton Neiss, into custody. Neiss ultimately admitted that he and his girlfriend, LAUREN ELIZABETH PEARSON, Defendant, had the stolen items from Victim's room. Officers located Defendant in the adjoining room. Defendant also admitted that she entered Victim's hotel room through the adjoining room door without permission and took Victim's items.
The items were recovered from the car Defendant and Neiss arrived in. Officers learned that a Cash App card belonging to Victim [NAME REDACTED] attempted transaction for $175 at a nearby gas station. Defendant is in custody.
