On March 14, 2026, at approximately 9:30 A.M., officers were called to the Walmart store in Dilworth, Clay County, Minnesota, on a report of a theft. Officer Monaghan learned from an asset protection officer at the store that an unknown individual had cut the anti-theft device off a laptop in the store. The unknown individual was located by Officer Monaghan and identified as THOMAS JIMMY YALARTAI, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant". When Officer Monaghan spoke with Defendant, Defendant provided him with a fictitious name and date of birth.
Officer Monaghan was able to confirm that Defendant had cut off the anti-theft device off the laptop with a pair of scissors which were located in Defendant's backpack. The laptop was valued at under $100. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49., intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
