On April 4, 2026, at approximately 11:30 A.M., officers of the Bloomington Police Department responded to reports of a gray, 2010 Chevy Cobalt (MN LIC# PCC776) speeding and operating erratically near American Blvd. W., and Lyndale Ave. S., City of Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near 86th St. W. And Lyndale Ave. S. Officer contacted the operator identified as BRENDA KAY MCADOO [DOB REDACTED], also known as BRENDA KAY SAUTBINE, DEFENDANT herein, and immediately detected the strong odor of alcohol emanating from her person.
Officers also observed her eyes to be bloodshot and watery and that she had difficulty standing upright. DEFENDANT consented to performing standardized field sobriety tests (SFTS) that revealed multiple indicators of impairment; however, the SFTS were halted when DEFENDANT became unable to safely continue. DEFENDANT was placed under arrest. Officers read the breath test advisory, but DEFENDANT refused to acknowledge it, telling officers she did not understand. Despite multiple attempts at explaining the breath test advisory, DEFENDANT refused to provide a sample of her breath.
While processing DEFENDANT, officers received another report that DEFENDANT’s vehicle was seen striking a Honda Odyssey mini-van (MN LIC# KCP027), belonging to VICTIM [NAME REDACTED] and parked in a hotel parking lot, causing significant property damage. DEFENDANT did not stop at the scene and did not report the collision. Officers were able to confirm that DEFENDANT was also staying at the same hotel and found physical evidence consistent with DEFENDANT’s vehicle striking the VICTIM’s vehicle. DEFENDANT has TWO prior Felony DWI convictions: (1) Felony DWI-Refusal, 27-CR-11-17550 (1/42012); and (2) Felony Frist Degree DWI, 27-CR-03-064294 ([DOB REDACTED]). DEFENDANT is not presently in custody.
The State requests a Complaint Warrant issue due to the whereabout of DEFENDANT being unknown.
