On October 7, 2025, Minneapolis police responded to a domestic abuse in progress at [ADDRESS REDACTED]east, Minneapolis, Hennepin County. Officers arrived and did not locate the caller but after routine checks, they found the caller had a recent address of [ADDRESS REDACTED]east, Minneapolis, Hennepin County. Officers went to that apartment and located the caller, herein Victim. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had been with her child’s father, Tremeris Cornell Williams, herein DEFENDANT, and that they got into an argument that led to DEFENDANT strangling her.
Victim stated during the strangulation she could breathe “a little bit.” Officers observed redness on Victim’s neck and a scrap below her jaw. Victim stated the assault lasted approximately 20 minutes. Another man in the apartment, L. C., stated he was cooking in the kitchen when he saw DEFENDANT assault Victim. Officers noted an extensive history of domestic abuse between these two parties – two assaults in 2025 that were never charged and another case in 2023 where DEFENDANT was convicted of Threats of Violence and Gross Misdemeanor Domestic Assault (Case file 27-CR-23-23439). Another case, with incident date of November 15, 2025, is also being charged – the allegations are that DEFENDANT strangled and threatened Victim with a knife.
DEFENDANT is currently out of custody. Given the seriousness of this offense, a warrant is requested.
