Jay Kyle Roberts

On March 13, 2026, at approximately 8:53 pm, officers were called to Bill's Market in Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota, for an assault report. Officers made contact with D. T., who told officers that she had been dating Jay Kyle Roberts, hereafter defendant, for about five years. Shortly before getting to Bill's, Defendant had been in the front passenger seat and D. T. Had been in the back. They were coming from north Minneapolis and had been arguing when the defendant had the driver pull over.

Defendant then got in the back seat and punched D. T. In the head on multiple occasions. Officers observed dried blood in D. T.'s nose as she spoke to them. Defendant has a pending domestic assault case with D. T. As the victim [NAME REDACTED] on 5-4-26. A no contact order was in place between defendant and D. T. Defendant has a prior Domestic Assault conviction dated 4/11/23 in 02-CR-20-3160. Defendant has a prior Assault 3 conviction dated 6/13/24 in 02-CR-23-5688. Based on the type of offense and defendant's current bond status, the State is seeking a warrant for defendant's arrest.
