On or about December 18, 2025, investigators with the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office executed a knock and announce narcotics related search warrant at an apartment located in the 500 block of Northern Hill Dr. NE, in Rochester, Olmsted County, Minnesota. The search warrant also allowed for the search of Robert Kiff Anderson, [DOB REDACTED] (hereinafter “Defendant”). Upon arrival, investigators knocked on the door and made several commands for the occupants to answer the door. After a short period of time, Defendant answered the door and followed commands to exit the apartment.
Defendant was provided with a copy of the search warrant and declined to speak with investigators. During the search of the apartment, investigators located a brown cloth bag containing several items in Defendant’s bedroom. Inside the bag was a working digital scale that field tested positive for methamphetamine, various packaging materials such as different sized empty plastic baggies, and a large amount of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine. The substance later field tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 24.5 grams with packaging.
The amount of methamphetamine in close proximity to packaging materials and a digital scale is indicative of possession with intent to sell/distribute.
