On November 23, 2025, at 11:37 P.M., Deputy Xiong with the Washington County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a residence located in the city of Newport, Washington County, regarding an unwanted person. Dispatch advised that the caller stated an unknown female was trying to enter his home through the locked back door and was wandering around his property. The unknown female was wearing a neon- colored jacket and currently at the southeast corner of the house. Upon arrival, Deputies Xiong and Hernandez located a female matching the description on the property.
The female stated she stopped at the house because she needed to wash her hair and brush her teeth. The female was unable to identify herself and spoke in a nonsensical manner. While speaking with deputies, the female reached into her jacket pocket and removed a bubble pipe that she stated contained her "medication which was a crystal." Deputies observed suspected narcotics inside the pipe. The female was ultimately identified as ASHELY ROSE HANSON, [DOB REDACTED]. The suspected narcotics inside the pipe NIK-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed.6 grams.
HANSON was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where she remains in custody.
