On 01/17/2026 at 22:32, Shakopee Police officers were dispatched to the Pullman Club, 124 1st Ave., Shakopee, Scott County, Minnesota, for the report of an assault. Dispatch advised a male had just been "jumped" outside and had injuries to his eye and face. At the scene, the officer spoke with the victim, CME, [DOB REDACTED]. The officer saw there was blood running down his face and blood all over his sweatshirt and pants. The officer removed the towel and observed CME had a large laceration above his right eye and another laceration to the right of his right eye that were both bleeding.
His right eye was significantly swollen and bruised, and there was a smaller laceration above his mouth. CME told the officers: the assault occurred in the back parking lot. He went outside to go to another bar and was assaulted by 2 or 3 people. He could not describe any of the people. He was punched numerous times. He wanted to press charges. Allina Paramedics arrived on scene and transported CME to St. Francis Regional Medical Center. The officer saw several blood spots in the snow to the east of the back door; blood splattered on the back passenger side tire and back passenger door of a nearby vehicle.
Offices spoke with EKA, [DOB REDACTED], the reporting party and bartender, who stated: She was the bartender. She was told there was a physical altercation outside of the bar in the rear parking lot. She went outside and observed CME's face was covered in blood. She brought CME inside and grabbed some towels to help control the bleeding. The person that assaulted CME was a male with tan skin and was wearing a San Francisco 49ers jacket. The male suspect left the bar in an unknown direction. The male suspect was possibly named Tyson.
Later identified as Tyson Montgomery Leon, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the defendant. EKA later retrieved video of the male suspect and provided it to the officers. On 01/23/2026, an officer received the video from the bar, which showed: CME sitting at the bar two stools down from the defendant who was known to EKA as "Tyson." The defendant was wearing a red and yellow Kansas City Chiefs jacket which closely matches the original description of what the suspect was wearing. There was a female with blonde hair and a green shirt sitting between CME and the defendant.
At the 4:49 mark of the video, the defendant moves seats with the female and sits next to CME. It appeared CME and the defendant started arguing with each other. The defendant then speaks to EKA and a short time later EKA asks CME to follow her. EKA and CME are then seen speaking to each other inside of the Pullman by the front door where he was asked to leave the Pullman to prevent a fight from happening. At the 1:30 mark of the third video CME is seen walking out the back door of the Pullman to the parking lot.
