On June 4, 2024, Detective Johnson was assigned to investigate the solicitation of a child to preform sexual apps using Snapchat. He met with 16-year-old Child A and her father J. L. Child A told the Detective that a 35-year-old male, later fully identified as Jose Alfredo Flores [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant, had requested that she send him images of herself naked, and while preforming sexual acts on herself and on another child. Child A resides in Anoka County and received the Snap Chat Messages while in Anoka County.
Child A described the images she sent to the Defendant as fully naked frontal images exposing her bare breast. She began communicating with the Defendant after learning from her friend Child B, that the Defendant was providing Child B with gifts in exchange for sexual images. In describing the images and videos, she told the Detective that at the request of the Defendant she also masturbated while wearing her underwear, as well as videos depicting Child A biting and slapping Child B’s bare breasts.
All of the videos were sent between May 24, 2024, and June 4, 2024, utilizing SnapChat. Child A told the officer that she and the Defendant discussed him purchasing a new lingerie set for her in exchange for the videos, but that she never received any gifts from the Defendant. Detective Johnson drafted a search warrant for SnapChat for the subscriber information and digital content described above. Detective Johnson reviewed the subscriber information and developed the Defendant as a suspect and reviewed and stored the sexual images described by Child.
In September of 2024, Detective Johnson sent his complied investigation to the Guadelupe County Sheriff’s Office in Texas where the Defendant resides, and the location of the IP addresses for the origination of the messages with Child A. In May 2025, Detective Johnson received a case file from Sergeant Reamer with the Guadalupe County Sherifs office and learned that Sgt. Reamer and other Detectives interviewed the Defendant about his communication use of Snapchat and the targeted account eric_h776, and communications with Child A and other children.
The Defendant agreed that the e-mail associated with the SnapChat account eric_h776 (demonwingace@gmail.com) was one he created. The Defendant denied knowing either Child A or Child B. The Defendant acknowledged that he talks to women on the internet and does not always do his best to find out if the women he talks to are underage or not. The Defendant agreed that he primarily used his cellphone to access social media platforms and talk to women. The Defendant said that he had received naked pictures from girls, and they usually look like the age they claim to be.
During the interview, the Defendant said he was scared if he was viewing minors and asked officers how to go about getting help. Law enforcement sought and obtained a search warrant and searched the Defendant’s phone. Sgt. Reamer discovered multiple messages between the Defendant and other women including minors in which the Defendant clarifies their age, and requests them to send him sexualized images or videos in exchange for gifts or money. During the search they did not discover communications with either Child A or Child B saved on his phone. “The State requests a body only complaint warrant in this matter and requests that the Defendant be held in custody until appropriate bail and conditions of release be set pursuant to Minn.
