On August 21, 2025, at approximately 4:30 P.M., Victim came to the law enforcement center to report that she had been sexually assaulted that morning at an apartment in Moorhead, Clay County, MN. Victim told that officer that she had been out with friends the night before and ended up at the apartment of a friend's boyfriend. She identified the friend's boyfriend by the name "Knowledge" and Detective Schultz was able to determine through her investigation that his real name was WILLIAM RAPHAEL McCOY JOHNSON III, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant". Victim stated that she passed out on Defendant's couch and woke up to Defendant picking her up and carrying her to the bedroom.
Victim was in and out of consciousness while Defendant was carrying her. Defendant tried to pulled Victim's pants down from behind and tried to put his hand down the back of her pants. Victim grabbed the front of her pants and was trying to pull them up. Defendant was able to get Victim's pants down to expose her buttocks before Victim was able to yank her pants up. Victim yelled and Defendant and swore. She then was able to grab her things and run out of the apartment. In 2013, Defendant was convicted in Douglas County of 4th Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.
The police reports from that case indicate that after a night of drinking, Defendant carried a female acquaintance to a bedroom, held her down, and sexually assaulted her. Stat. 609.49., intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
