On December 7, 2025, at 12:20 A.M., Oakdale police officer went to an apartment in the city of Oakdale, Washington County, Minnesota, on a report of stolen vehicle. Victim, a known adult, and friend, a known adult, said that on December 5, 2025, Haden Paul Veith, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, had driven them home in Victim's car because they were intoxicated and could not drive the vehicle. Victim had let Defendant drive the vehicle to his friend's house on the way to her residence. Defendant remained at Victim's apartment.
Defendant aske Victim [NAME REDACTED] could drive her vehicle again. Victim declined. Defendant asked again about driving Victim's vehicle to pick up some drugs. Defendant took a phone call in the apartment hallway. About 30 minutes later, Victim and her friend realized Defendant had taken the keys to her vehicle and driven the car without any permission. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was repeatedly calling Defendant to return the vehicle. Defendant did not return the vehicle. The vehicle was later located around 3:38 A.M. In Brooklyn Park, and Defendant was not in the vehicle.
One of the vehicle's occupants said Defendant was at a house in Brooklyn Park.
