On January 2, 2026, at approximately 1:21 P.M., Fergus Falls Police Officer Dale Haberer was dispatched to the Otter Tail County Detention Facility in Fergus Falls, a location in Otter Tail County, regarding damage to property. Officer Haberer made contact with Correction Officer Amanda Burud who reported that Adam Gronseth, the above-named defendant, began striking a kiosk monitor screen with the attached telephone. CO Burud indicated that jail staff observed this incident and that he kiosk machine was recently fixed due to a similar incident involving the defendant on December 28, 2025. Officer Haberer observed and photographed the damaged kiosk.
Video surveillance captured the defendant striking the monitor eight times with the telephone causing the damage. Officer Haberer met with the defendant, read him the Miranda Warning and the defendant agreed to speak with Officer Haberer. The defendant stated he had anger management issues. The defendant stated that the phone itself being available upset him so he damaged it. The estimated cost to repair or replace the damaged kiosk is $1,160.38. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
