On or about October 15, 2025, at approximately 1:40 PM, Officer Shields of the Blaine Police Department conducted a stop while in the area of [ADDRESS REDACTED], City of Blaine, Anoka County, Minnesota. Prior to conducting the stop, the officer was alerted to a vehicle owned by a driver with a status of Cancelled- Inimical to Public Safety. The driver was later identified to be SCOTT ALLEN WEITZEL, [DOB REDACTED], the Defendant herein. The officer noticed the vehicle that was alerted by ALPR was traveling directly behind his squad car.
Defendant was noted to be driving the vehicle. The officer followed Defendant's vehicle to the parking lot of [ADDRESS REDACTED]. Defendant and a passenger exited the vehicle and the officer made contact. Defendant stated he had taken a test and was able to drive so long as he had a passenger with a valid license. Defendant's ID card was not an instructional permit. DVS also showed no reinstatement of driving privileges. The paperwork provided by Defendant stated it did not qualify as a permit or license to drive.
Defendant's passenger also had a status of revoked. Defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Anoka County Jail.
