In court file ••-CR-••-••••, ANDRE ROBINSON, JR., [DOB REDACTED], was convicted of Crime Committed for Benefit of a Gang, felony conviction 7/30/2009. ROBINSON is prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition in the State of Minnesota. On November 24, 2025, at approximately 5:00 P.M., Saint Paul Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Congress Street East, Saint Paul, County of Ramsey, on a domestic assault. Caller reported to dispatch that her child’s father pulled a gun on her. Officers arrived and spoke with SAJ at Michael’s Pizza.
SAJ said her child’s father, ROBINSON, busted out a window at her house on Saturday. ROBINSON also busted out the window of her SAJ’s boyfriend’s car on Saturday. SAJ said she has not been staying at her place, but returned to get clothes for her children to go to school. SAJ’s friend, AMJ, drove her and the kids to her house on Congress Street. SAJ was seated in the front passenger seat. They pulled up in front of her house. SAJ saw ROBINSON’s white Dodge Charger parked on the street. The Charger was unoccupied, but ROBINSON was on the sidewalk with his cousin.
SAJ got into an argument with ROBINSON and told him he was not to be at her address. At one point, ROBINSON walked next to the front passenger side of the car, pulled out a black handgun from his waistband. ROBINSON told her to bring out her boyfriend and her friend’s boyfriend. ROBINSON leaned over her and spat at her while she was seated in the car. SAJ said ROBINSON pointed the handgun in the direction where she was seated. Her friend, AMJ, drove off. SAJ said she was terrified. AMJ said she picked up SAJ and was driving her home.
SAJ saw ROBINSON, rolled down the window, and told him to get out of the area. ROBINSON ran up to her vehicle, went to the passenger side window where SAJ was seated. AMJ said she started to drive off when ROBINSON pulled out a small black handgun and pointed it toward her vehicle. ROBINSON told them to call their people. AMJ started to drive away and ROBBINSON chased them. AMJ said SAJ’s children (eight-year-old and two- year-old) were in the vehicle. Officers found ROBINSON on Congress Street and arrested him.
A Glock 42.380 handgun, magazine with round in the chamber, was found in ROBINSON’s right pants pocket. After a Miranda advisory, ROBINSON spoke to an investigator. ROBINSON said he was walking with his cousin in the area of Congress Street when he noticed his child’s mother, SAJ, and her friend drive around them three to four times. The vehicle pulled up to them and SAJ said, “What the f*** are you doing here?” SAJ said she was going to tell her boyfriend to beat him up. He told SAJ to leave him alone, spat at the vehicle, and walked away.
ROBINSON denied threatening SAJ and denied pulling a gun on them. When asked why he had a gun, ROBINSON said SAJ’s boyfriend has a history of drive by shootings. He carried the gun for his protection.
