On December 18, 2025, Bloomington Police Department officers were dispatched on reports of damage to property to the location of [ADDRESS REDACTED] South in Minneapolis, Hennepin County. Responding officers were advised that a female suspect left the scene in a brown Ford Edge bearing MN License Plates #SCC185. Officers were also advised the female suspect used a baseball bat to damage the Victim’s vehicle. Officers located a vehicle matching the description provided by dispatch. Officers conducted a traffic stop at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Minneapolis, Hennepin County.
As officers approached the vehicle, officers observed a baseball bat in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Officers also observed a child [NAME REDACTED]. Officers advised the female suspect to step out of the vehicle. The female suspect also refused to identify herself. Officers later identified the suspect as MIRANDA SUE WHITE- HURD [DOB REDACTED] "Defendant" herein. Defendant then placed her vehicle in reverse in attempt to flee. Officers were able to shatter the vehicle’s driver side window and remove the Defendant from the vehicle.
Defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Bloomington Jail. Officer’s obtained a post-Miranda statement from Defendant. Defendant admitted to damaging Victim’s vehicle with the baseball bat. Victim was able to provide law enforcement with a repair estimate for the cost to repair Victim's vehicle. The total value of the estimate is $4,772.59. Defendant is currently out of custody.
