On or about April 21, 2026 at approximately 10:04 P.M., an officer on routine patrol was sitting in his squad car in the parking lot of Plymouth Plaza when he was approached by someone asking to report a domestic situation. The reporting party, C. A., stated that her husband, PETER JAY ALBRECHT (“Defendant” herein) had threatened their daughter, G. A. (“Victim” herein). C. A. Went back to their home on the 2300 block of County Road 101 in Plymouth, Hennepin County, Minnesota to get Victim. Victim and C. A. Returned to the Plymouth Plaza to speak with the officer.
Victim told the officer that Defendant, her father, said, “I’m going to kill you right now.” while Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was afraid and thought Defendant might actually kill or hurt her in the moment. Victim was crying while speaking with the officer. Victim showed the officer a video of the incident she had recorded on her cellphone. The officer watching the video heard Defendant say, “I’m going to kill you right now.” Victim [NAME REDACTED] incident happened because of a disagreement over the TV. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had had issues in the past over a TV in the common area of the home.
Victim said that Defendant changed the TV back to something he likes to watch when she was already using the TV. Victim [NAME REDACTED], went to her bedroom, and shut and locked the door. Defendant followed Victim to her room and asked what happened to the TV. Victim [NAME REDACTED] could figure it out himself. Victim [NAME REDACTED] went downstairs, returned back upstairs with a key to her bedroom, unlocked the door, and stood in the open doorway. Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim said she tried to shut her door, and that is when Defendant said he was going to kill her.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] on the door and Victim had to use all of her weight to keep the door closed. Victim [NAME REDACTED] in her bedroom until her mother came back home. The officer went to the home on County Road 101 and arrested Defendant. Defendant told officers that Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant said he had been trying to figure out why Victim [NAME REDACTED], but he couldn’t hear Victim, so he unlocked her bedroom door to hear her better. Defendant told officers that he said to Victim, “if you mess with the TV anymore I’m going to kill you.” Defendant said he walked away after saying that.
Defendant denied threatening Victim. Officers transported Defendant to the Hennepin County jail. Defendant remains in custody.
