On or about October 6, 2025, at approximately 20:00 hours, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Deputy J. C. Was dispatched to the Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), located at [ADDRESS REDACTED], in the city of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, on the report of a male who had been in the bathroom for a approximately 3 hours and was refusing to leave. When the deputy arrived, he noticed an adult male later identified as EDGAR DARNELL PLUMMER, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, laying on the floor surrounded with papers, empty food containers and a backpack under his head.
Defendant was refusing to get up and leave. The deputy found recent HCMC medical discharge paperwork next to him that indicated he was discharged a few hours prior. Due to Defendant’s refusal to leave the deputy placed Defendant in custody with the assistance of HCMC security. Checks revealed that on December 2, 2024, Defendant was issued a year-long trespass notice that prohibited him from being at HCMC except for medical emergency, appointments or verifiable hospital business; trespass notice expires one year from December 2, 2024. Checks further revealed that Defendant has prior trespassing convictions under Minn.
Stat. § 609.605: 27- CR-17-14726 (convicted on July 18, 2017); ••-CR-••-•••• (convicted on September 8, 2016); and 27- CR-13-3369 (convicted on April 26, 2013).
