At approximately 3:40 PM on 4/3/2026, Officers responded to a residence at [ADDRESS REDACTED]. W., Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, for a domestic call. Jaden Kenneth Cole, [DOB REDACTED], herein Defendant, was contacted upon arrival and placed upon arrest. Prior to arrival, Officers connected with Victim [NAME REDACTED], herein Victim. Defendant and Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim [NAME REDACTED] at the apartment while Defendant took a shower. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was taking so long in the bathroom.
Defendant began to scream and yell at Victim. Defendant said things like, “I am sick of you asking questions.” Victim started to leave the apartment. It is normal for Defendant to scream, yell, and be aggressive with Victim. As Victim [NAME REDACTED], Defendant grabbed a knife and held it above his head. Defendant began waiving it towards her and said something to the extent of, "you not eff'n going anywhere." Victim tried to move towards the door. Defendant set the knife down. Defendant pushed Victim [NAME REDACTED]. A physical struggle ensued.
Victim got the front door open and yelled for help. Defendant dragged Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant walked away. Victim grabbed the keys to the apartment and ran out to the hallway to call for help in the stairwell. Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim sustained scratches and felt pain as a result of incident. Defendant is currently in custody.
